The Unveiling of Jesus
Revelation 1:1-8Before a single vision appears, John tells us what Revelation is: an unveiling of Jesus Christ, from the eternal God who holds all of history, written for ordinary Christians to read, hear, and obey.
The Throne at the Centre
Revelation 4:1-11John is called through an open door into heaven, where everything turns on one throne and the One who sits on it, and creation and the redeemed answer his holiness with ceaseless worship and the surrender of their crowns.
The Lion Who Is a Lamb
Revelation 5:1-14When no one in the universe can open God's sealed scroll, the Lion of Judah proves to be a slain Lamb who stands alive, and he alone is worthy because he conquered by dying, ransoming people from every nation for God.
The Counted and the Countless
Revelation 7:1-17In the pause before the seventh seal, John answers the question that ended chapter 6: those who stand on the last day are the ones God has sealed, the ones the Lamb has washed, a multitude no one can number from every nation.
The Kingdom Changes Hands
Revelation 11:15-19When the seventh trumpet sounds, heaven does not describe a catastrophe but sings a coronation: the rule of the world passes openly to God and his Christ, the nations meet their judgment, the faithful receive their reward, and God's covenant faithfulness stands revealed.
Who Is Like the Beast?
Revelation 13:1-10The dragon raises up a beast, a God-defying power that imitates the Lamb and demands the worship that belongs to God, but its authority is borrowed, its time is limited, and its victory over the saints is answered by their patient endurance.
A Lamb's Horns, a Dragon's Voice
Revelation 13:11-18A second beast, gentle in appearance and deadly in speech, uses signs, an image, and economic pressure to lead the world into worshiping the first beast, and the church is called to wise discernment, loyalty to the Lamb, and no easy answers about the number 666.
The Song Beside the Sea
Revelation 15:1-8Before the final bowls of wrath are poured out, the victorious saints sing the song of Moses and of the Lamb, declaring that God's judgments are righteous, true, and aimed at a day when all nations will worship him.
Hallelujah: The Lamb's Wedding Day
Revelation 19:1-10Heaven answers Babylon's fall with four hallelujahs and the announcement that the Lamb's long-awaited wedding has come, where the bride is clothed in a gift of fine linen and every guest is simply invited.
