About

What is Unveiled?

Unveiled is a daily Bible study. Each day takes one passage and works through it slowly, for ordinary Christians who want to understand Scripture better and grow closer to God. Some readers are new believers; some have read the Bible for decades. The aim is a study a thoughtful teenager can follow and a seminary graduate can still learn from.

How each study is built

Every study has three parts.

  1. Explanation. The context, a walk through the passage, key words, and cross references to the rest of the Bible.
  2. Three lenses. Three complementary ways of looking at the same text:
    • The Pattern follows the Bible’s own threads, images and design, and how they lead to Jesus.
    • The Glory asks what the passage shows us of God, and how that is good news at the cross.
    • The Challenge asks plainly whether we believe it, and what would change if we did.
  3. Daily devotional. A reflection, journaling questions, a prayer, one practice for today, and a memory verse.

What it holds to

Unveiled holds to historic, orthodox Christian faith: the Trinity, the full divinity and humanity of Christ, salvation by grace through faith, the authority of Scripture, the bodily return of Christ, final judgment, and new creation. Where Christians disagree on a difficult passage, the main views are set out fairly and briefly, and the focus returns to what all agree on. These studies do not set dates or map Bible symbols onto today’s news.

Scripture text

Scripture is quoted from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain.

Where it’s going

The first series works through Revelation. See the full plan. More series will follow, and an emailed edition of the daily devotional is planned.
