# Unveiled > A daily Bible study: a careful explanation of each passage, three complementary lenses and a short devotional. Start with Revelation, one passage a day. Unveiled publishes one Bible study a day, working through a book of the Bible passage by passage. Every study has an explanation of the passage (context, a walk through the verses, key words, cross references), three complementary lenses (The Pattern, The Glory, The Challenge) and a short devotional (reflection, journaling questions, prayer, a practice and a memory verse). Scripture is quoted from the World English Bible (public domain). The studies hold to historic, orthodox Christian faith, set out disputed readings fairly, and do not set dates or map symbols onto current events. ## Series - [Revelation](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation): A passage-by-passage walk through the last book of the Bible, one study a day. Each day brings a careful explanation, three complementary lenses, and a short devotional for personal response. 33 of 37 studies published. ## Revelation: published studies ### Prologue (Revelation 1:1–20) - [Day 1: The Unveiling of Jesus (Revelation 1:1-8)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/1): Before a single vision appears, John tells us what Revelation is: an unveiling of Jesus Christ, from the eternal God who holds all of history, written for ordinary Christians to read, hear, and obey. - [Day 2: The One Among the Lampstands (Revelation 1:9-20)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/2): On a prison island, John sees the risen Jesus, blazing with the glory of God, holding his churches in his hand and walking among them, and the One who terrifies him is the One who says, "Don't be afraid." ### Letters to the Churches (Revelation 2:1–3:22) - [Day 3: The Love You Started With (Revelation 2:1-7)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/3): To a church that was hard-working, doctrinally sound, and enduring, Jesus says that none of it replaces the love it has drifted from, and he calls it home with a warning and a promise of paradise. - [Day 4: Poor, Hated, and Rich (Revelation 2:8-11)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/4): To a church with nothing to boast about and everything to fear, the Jesus who died and came to life says he knows their suffering, sets its limits, and promises a crown that no prison can take. - [Day 5: Holding Fast Where Satan Dwells (Revelation 2:12-17)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/5): Jesus commends the church in Pergamum for staying loyal to him in a city of power and idols, yet warns that tolerating compromise within is as dangerous as persecution without, and he offers a hidden bread and a secret name to those who overcome. - [Day 6: Eyes of Fire, Morning Star (Revelation 2:18-29)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/6): The Son of God, whose eyes search every heart, praises a church that is growing in love and service, warns it for tolerating a teacher who leads his people into idolatry, and promises the faithful remnant a share in his rule and himself, the morning star. - [Day 7: Alive in Name Only (Revelation 3:1-6)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/7): Christ, who holds the fullness of the Spirit and the churches in his hand, tells a respected congregation the truth its reputation hides: it is dead, yet he calls it to wake up, hold on to what remains, and walk with him in white. - [Day 8: A Little Strength, an Open Door (Revelation 3:7-13)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/8): To a small, pressed church that has kept his word, Christ the holy and true King, who holds the key of David, sets an open door that no one can shut, promising to keep them, crown them and make them permanent in the presence of God. - [Day 9: The Church That Needed Nothing (Revelation 3:14-22)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/9): To a wealthy, self-satisfied church, the faithful and true Witness speaks hard truth in love, offers the true riches freely, and stands knocking at the door, asking only to be let in to share a meal. ### The Throne Room (Revelation 4:1–5:14) - [Day 10: The Throne at the Centre (Revelation 4:1-11)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/10): John is called through an open door into heaven, where everything turns on one throne and the One who sits on it, and creation and the redeemed answer his holiness with ceaseless worship and the surrender of their crowns. - [Day 11: The Lion Who Is a Lamb (Revelation 5:1-14)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/11): When no one in the universe can open God's sealed scroll, the Lion of Judah proves to be a slain Lamb who stands alive, and he alone is worthy because he conquered by dying, ransoming people from every nation for God. ### The Seven Seals (Revelation 6:1–7:17) - [Day 12: Four Horses on a Leash (Revelation 6:1-8)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/12): When the Lamb breaks the first four seals, riders of conquest, war, hunger, and death gallop out, yet each one moves only because power is given to him, so even the worst forces in history answer to the One who was slain and lives. - [Day 13: A Cry Under the Altar (Revelation 6:9-17)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/13): The fifth seal shows martyrs asking God how long, the sixth shows the powerful hiding from the Lamb, and together they ask the question that chapter 7 will answer: who can stand when God finally judges? - [Day 14: The Counted and the Countless (Revelation 7:1-17)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/14): In the pause before the seventh seal, John answers the question that ended chapter 6: those who stand on the last day are the ones God has sealed, the ones the Lamb has washed, a multitude no one can number from every nation. ### The Seven Trumpets (Revelation 8:1–11:19) - [Day 15: Silence, Incense, and Fire (Revelation 8:1-13)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/15): When the seventh seal opens, heaven goes quiet so that the prayers of God's people can be heard, and the fire that answers them lands on earth as seven trumpets begin to warn a world that has not yet turned back. - [Day 16: The Abyss Opens, Hearts Stay Closed (Revelation 9:1-21)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/16): The fifth and sixth trumpets unleash terrifying, tightly limited forces from the abyss and the Euphrates, yet the saddest line in the chapter is that the survivors still refuse to repent. - [Day 17: Sweet in the Mouth, Bitter Within (Revelation 10:1-11)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/17): Between the sixth and seventh trumpets, a mighty angel swears that God's delay is nearly over, and John is told to take God's open word into himself, taste both its sweetness and its bitterness, and speak it to the nations again. - [Day 18: Two Lamp Stands in the Great City (Revelation 11:1-14)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/18): While the nations trample the outer court, God keeps his people safe within and sends faithful witnesses who speak until their work is done, are killed, and are raised by God, so that even the death of a witness is not the world's victory. - [Day 19: The Kingdom Changes Hands (Revelation 11:15-19)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/19): When the seventh trumpet sounds, heaven does not describe a catastrophe but sings a coronation: the rule of the world passes openly to God and his Christ, the nations meet their judgment, the faithful receive their reward, and God's covenant faithfulness stands revealed. ### The Cosmic Conflict (Revelation 12:1–14:20) - [Day 20: The Dragon Has Already Lost (Revelation 12:1-17)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/20): Behind the trumpets and the pressure on the church stands a dragon at war with God's people and God's Son, but the Child has been caught up to the throne, the accuser has been thrown down, and the Lamb's blood and his people's faithful testimony have already overcome him. - [Day 21: Who Is Like the Beast? (Revelation 13:1-10)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/21): The dragon raises up a beast, a God-defying power that imitates the Lamb and demands the worship that belongs to God, but its authority is borrowed, its time is limited, and its victory over the saints is answered by their patient endurance. - [Day 22: A Lamb's Horns, a Dragon's Voice (Revelation 13:11-18)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/22): A second beast, gentle in appearance and deadly in speech, uses signs, an image, and economic pressure to lead the world into worshiping the first beast, and the church is called to wise discernment, loyalty to the Lamb, and no easy answers about the number 666. - [Day 23: The Song Only the Redeemed Sing (Revelation 14:1-13)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/23): While the beasts demand worship from the shore, the Lamb stands on Mount Zion with a company who carry his name, and three angels announce the eternal Good News, the fall of Babylon, and a solemn warning, so that the saints can persevere and the dying in Christ can rest. - [Day 24: Grain Gathered, Grapes Trampled (Revelation 14:14-20)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/24): The Son of Man reaps a ripe earth and an angel treads the winepress of God's wrath, a sobering picture that shows evil being ended at its appointed hour, and that points us back to the One who first drank the cup of wrath for his people. ### The Seven Bowls (Revelation 15:1–16:21) - [Day 25: The Song Beside the Sea (Revelation 15:1-8)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/25): Before the final bowls of wrath are poured out, the victorious saints sing the song of Moses and of the Lamb, declaring that God's judgments are righteous, true, and aimed at a day when all nations will worship him. - [Day 26: They Did Not Repent (Revelation 16:1-11)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/26): As the first five bowls fall on the earth in a pattern borrowed from the Exodus plagues, heaven declares God's judgments righteous, and the stubborn refusal of those under judgment to repent shows how deep the human heart's rebellion runs. - [Day 27: It Is Done (Revelation 16:12-21)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/27): As the kings of the earth are deceived into gathering for a final war, Jesus breaks in with a warning to stay awake, and the seventh bowl brings a voice from the throne declaring that God's judgment is complete. ### The Fall of Babylon (Revelation 17:1–19:10) - [Day 28: The Woman on the Beast (Revelation 17:1-18)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/28): Babylon is shown as a dazzling, intoxicating, blood-stained power that seduces the nations and devours itself, and the chapter's own answer to her is the Lamb, who overcomes with those who are called, chosen, and faithful. - [Day 29: Come Out of Her, My People (Revelation 18:1-24)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/29): Babylon the great falls in a single hour, mourned by those who profited from her and celebrated by heaven, and in the middle of the judgment God calls his own people out by name, so that they will not share her sins or her plagues. - [Day 30: Hallelujah: The Lamb's Wedding Day (Revelation 19:1-10)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/30): Heaven answers Babylon's fall with four hallelujahs and the announcement that the Lamb's long-awaited wedding has come, where the bride is clothed in a gift of fine linen and every guest is simply invited. ### The Final Victory (Revelation 19:11–20:15) - [Day 31: The Rider Called Faithful and True (Revelation 19:11-21)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/31): Heaven opens and Jesus comes out as the Word of God on a white horse, King of kings, who defeats the beast and the false prophet and every rebel army with nothing but the word of his mouth. - [Day 32: Chains, Thrones, and a Thousand Years (Revelation 20:1-6)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/32): An angel locks the dragon away, the martyrs the world executed take their seats on thrones with Christ, and the second death has no power over those who share his resurrection. - [Day 33: Before the Great White Throne (Revelation 20:7-15)](https://unveiledstudy.com/revelation/33): The devil's last deception ends in fire from heaven, the dead stand before the throne of the One who judges with perfect knowledge, and the only safe name is the one written in the Lamb's book of life. ### Section hubs -
