Letters to the Churches
Revelation 2:1–3:22 · days 3–9
Chapters 2 and 3 hold seven short letters from the risen Jesus to seven real churches in the Roman province of Asia: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea. Each names real strengths and real failings, and each ends with a promise to the one who overcomes.
